Our competitive Winter Season begins with practices November 1st. Teams begin playing in late November/early December and the season concludes the end of February.
During the winter our teams participate in competitive leagues throughout the city.
All players must attends tryouts in order to be placed on the appropriate teams. Tryouts are not personal, they are meant to evaluate the players in order to place them on appropriate teams. We have multiple coaches evaluating the players and have an experienced process in selecting players. Our program and teams are competitive and that mentality begins without the tryout process.
Each age group has multiple teams. Teams are based on competitive placement, ie the best players will play together. We treat each team individually when it comes to planning their process and development during the season. Our program is organized in a manner that ensures a certain level of consistency with each team as well as continuity for the players as they ascend in skill and age.
During the winter season, teams typically practice 2x per week. Most practices are at Next Level Academy. Our practices are intentionally designed to be tough on the players in order to develop each player to be their very best. Our practices are planned and incorporate individual skills, team concepts and performance training. Teams will often practice alongside or with other teams in our program.
Each team will have unique game schedules meant to expose players to the appropriate level of challenge. In the winter our teams play in local leagues throughout the city. Our top teams will play in the very best leagues at the top level. Some teams may have additional have additional playing opportunities in tournaments.
Fees for the winter range from $300- $450 plus a $80 Player Gear Package that includes a uniform and reversible practice jersey. The Player Gear Package doesn't have to be purchased for repeat players that already have them. Payment plans are available and their are work opportunities & fund raising available for players.
Each player is expected to have a family or representative run the clock &/or book at 2 games per season.
Our teams are coached by experienced non-parent coaches. Our coaches bring years of experience not just in basketball but in understanding how to develop youth athletes. Our staff collaborates daily and players will experience a consistent playing experience due to our highly organized program.
