TRYOUTS

Please register here for tryouts. 

When you arrive, checkin at the front table.  Each player will receive a number to be pinned on the back of their shirt.  Players will also need to get a quick photo with their number.  PARENTS - tryouts can be a bit hectic.  The parking lot is full and their will be lots of people.  Please be patient.  

Players do not need to bring anything except their playing gear and water.  DO NOT BRING BASKETBALLS.  If an organization asks you to bring your own ball, rethink things.  

Tryouts will last 60-90 minutes.  The tryout will be very fast moving and will include some intentionally complicated things.  Not only do we want to see the players skills but also how they handle themselves in this environment.  Tryouts will consist of skill drill, competitive drills, small sided games, and 5v5.  Players may get moved around during tryouts.  This is a competitive environment and it is not personal.  Part of competition is being honest and real.   Tryouts will be filmed and that material will be used only privately for coaches during the evaluation process.  

Parents are welcome to stay but DO NOT interact with your player.  'Instructing' from the sideline or interacting with your player while we are trying to coach & instruct is a red flag to our staff.  We want coachable kids and tough players.

All players will receive communication via email regarding their player, this includes players that have not been selected.  This communication happens on a rolling basis and players should expect to hear something within 3 days.  Players are asked to accept invites within 24 hours via email along with a $100 deposit to secure your spot.  NOTE - players may receive invites at different times, this is not necessarily indicative of anything good or bad.  

Players will be evaluated by multiple coaches during the tryout.  Following the tryout our coaches will collaborate in an organized step-wise process to select teams.  In some situations, we may ask a player to return for additional evaluation.  This process is not easy but our coaches are experienced in doing this and we have a good process.  Our goal is to get players into the right situation for their growth and development. If you feel we've made a mistake, prove it by being a great teammate, hard worker, and skilled player.
